Lokos, Kiulu, Tuaran on March 13, 1958 to a family of a Kadazandusun traditional hill padi cultivator, Mr. Tangau Gokis. He is the number four in a family of seven brothers (alive six) and seven sisters. He is married to Dr. Jaina Sintian in 1991 and now the couple is blessed with four daughters and a son.
